Virginia Cobb Workshop
Four days last week I had the wonderful experience of attending a workshop with Virginia Cobb. Besides being an exceptionally talented artist Virginia is a wonderful instructor and, simply put, a delightful person to know.One of the participants expressed it so well. She is the kind of instructor you would like to start out painting with. All the rules – out the window! It was indeed a liberating experience.
These are two pieces I produced. We had a great time and learned a great deal!

Mary, saw your work at the WAS-H. WOW – it’s so wonderful! I,too, took a workshop with Virginia Cobb several years ago in Houston. She is top-of-the-line teacher and person. Hopefully, I can sign up for her Santa Fe workshop in 2010? I just kinda stumbled upon your Blog…how cool! I just started one myself and trying to get busy with my website newsletter. Great to hear from you. Thanks for the kind words about the paintings. I am very excited about the direction my work is going. I called Virginia when I won. She was almost as excited as I was. I would LOVE to make ti to Santa Fe for her workshop. She told me she was coming to the Jung center in November. She and her daughter and Polly and her daughter have a joint show.
The whole blog thing is great except that you have to remember to do it.
